Group Costing Manager (Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor group and subsidiary manufactory costing models and policies.
- Review group and manufactory’s current cost variance and corrective actions in China.
- Contribute to best practice at the strategic and execution level with a focus on continuous improvement for cost optimization.
- Migrate and implement cost model from China to SEA and Europe’s new manufactories and tailor to the local cost base.
- Formulate and review major contract cost projection with country commercial/business team.
- Evaluate “make/buy” and “intra-group manufactory sourcing” proposals.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience (preferably with 2 years of audit experience).
- Accountancy degree or equivalent.
- Manufacturing costing experience (preferably multiple sites).
- Ability to apply dynamism and logical judgment to a diverse challenging environments.
- Good communication and conflict resolution skills with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a must as this role requires close collaboration with the China team.
- Travel to plants within the regions might be required.
System Engineering Manager (Energy Storage System Applications) (Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers for the design and development of medium and high voltage energy storage solutions for stationary battery storage solutions including microgrid, commercial & industrial and residential integrated with renewable energy sources.
- Provide technical expertise for vetting and approval process in support of project management process.
- Lead technical engagement with regional clients and organizations on energy storage projects during pre- and after-sales phases including developing technical documentation.
- Perform system sizing of ESS with renewable energy solutions such as solar and system integration for different energy storage applications according to the client’s requirement.
- Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and After-sales teams on the execution of project deliverables.
- Provide support to the management team on the execution of key strategic initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to review and enhance existing engineering, production, testing, maintenance, and quality processes and standards.
- Provide support for improving technical performance and cost-down efforts of existing products.
- Provide support to the R&D team to co-develop and co-lead the company’s patent filing activities.
- Provide support to the company’s product and quality certification activities.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Engineering.
- Possess sound engineering background and relevant experience in system design on medium and high voltage lithium-ion battery energy storage systems for stationary applications such as microgrids, C&I, and residential.
- Relevant hands-on system experience in design, development, and commissioning of energy storage applications in renewable energy projects, especially for containerized ESS, solar energy, and high voltage power conversions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player who can work independently.
- Able to travel on short notice.
- Prior experience in the telco, renewable energy or power grid sector would be an advantage.
Senior/Engineer, HV System Design (Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- To lead and work with projects involving new battery energy storage system (BESS) in the areas of product proposal, product design and product development include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and understand customer’s requirements on BESS.
- Provide preliminary design feasibility review.
- Benchmark competitors’ designs.
- Perform simulation and establish guidelines to mitigate issues such as EMI from interconnecting systems.
- PCB schematic and layout design and review.
- Establish design and development plan, timeline, milestones, equipment procurement, budgetary, etc.
- Prepare testings to verify and validate electrical system design documentation.
- Prepare FMEA testing plans and specifications based on empirical and analytical models.
- Prepare and conduct testing plan on PCB testing boards and customer’s prototype boards.
- Conduct performance/reliability tests and update FMEA tests.
- Generate evaluation and qualification reports or presentation materials for both internal and customer use.
- Work together with customers to integrate and test the entire BESS.
- Provide design and development supports for customer’s requirements on product modifications, improvements, and/or extensions.
- Support the management team on execution of key strategic initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance/training to both internal and customer on product design and development.
- Keep up with the proper organization and segregation of documents for different projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical/electromechanical engineering or comparable degree program with at least 5 years of industrial experience.
- Possess sound engineering background and experiences.
- 5 years of PCB schematic and layout design experience for compatible interfacing boards to link up battery cells and battery management units.
- Familiar with BESS internal structure such as battery management units, cell monitoring units, analog front end integrated circuits and transformers.
- Familiar with functional requirements such as string controller unit, state of charge estimation, state of health estimation, EMI, cell passive/active balancing, etc.
- Familiar with the entire product design and development process.
- Experience with available CAD/CAE tools for BESS internal mechanical and thermal design.
- Familiar with standards for BESS’s functions, testing, and safety.
Preferred Skills:
- Ph.D. or master’s degree in related education/experience.
- Industry experience of high voltage battery pack design (>1000VDC).
- Experienced in the design of battery modules for containerized or cabinet ESS solutions.
- Bilingual in English & Mandarin.
